Scott received his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2007. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at St. Francis Xavier University with a major in Kinesiology and minor in biology in 2005.  During his undergraduate years, Scott became a certified Personal Trainer, a certified Health and Fitness Consultant, and was the student therapist for the varsity basketball and football teams.

After physio school, his post-graduate studies have focused on manual therapy specialization through the orthopedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and acupuncture certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.  Early in his career he had an invaluable two year golf therapy and fitness mentorship in Calgary, AB. There he worked daily alongside of the creators of the FITforeGOLF group and became FITforeGOLF certified. Scott took his golf assessment and fitness specially to the next level by becoming TPI certfified. This training added a whole new dimension to his golf clinical practice. In addition to golf, another avenue of interest led Scott to a Pilates instructor certification. Using Pilates daily as a clinician, it has proven to compliment every aspect of physiotherapy and performance rehabilitation.

Understanding of how the body behaves in a variety of sports and activities is based on personal experience. Scott has experience both competitively and recreationally in many sports such as hockey, volleyball, triathlon, and golf just to name a few.  Although his competitive sport days are behind him, Scott enjoys individual and team sports whenever possible. He works out at his local crossfit gym - CrossFit Ark - and continues to maintain an active lifestyle combined with good nutrition.
