PILATES in Aurora

Pilates will not only train you to be stronger over time but it also teaches you how to use the muscle strength you already have.  This is done by increasing your own body awareness – where the muscles are and what it feels like when they are being used. Once you learn what your body is capable of and how to control it, you become much more efficient at movement.

Moving efficiently allows you to rehabilitate a current injury and avoid future ones.  The training is low impact and focuses on quality of movement over quantity of repetitions or length of hold. With regular training, just within a few weeks, you will notice an improvement in your sitting, standing and walking posture. In addition to improving function in everyday life, Pilates can benefit sport specific needs for recreational to elite level athletes.
